G'day mate!
Today is January 3, 2016, but you'll read this post on January 19, 2016. (don't ask me why, but this didn't work to post - here you see it now.)
For those nags, that were supposed to tell me: "Why do you write in english?? I'm in 8th grade and I don't understand a thing!!!" (probs to your teachers, they did a really god job! ... just joking, also for all the couch potatoes, that are just to lazy to read in english) - I'm so SO sorry! :D
at the time, you're reading this I'll be in australia and it will be like 6am so don't judge me, if I don't announce this on instagram!!
Beside the updates, you'll get when I'm in australia, I also planned some posts in 2016 about things, that are very current, since I know that most of my readers are teens or in puberty. That doesn't mean, if you're older, that you may not have the same or similar problems!
I'm lucky to have friends and family, that always taught me, I don't have to construct a fake-me, just thereby "cool" people, who really don't know me, like me.
I think, everybody knows those "cool" people - these ones, who cut a lesson to be called as brave, these ones, who smoke, to show, that they don't care about their health, these ones, who just wear brand-name clothes, to show, that everybody, who doesn't, is uncool. I mean these cool people. I'm not talking about the ones, who cut a lesson to be there for a friend in need or the ones, who wear brand-name clothes, because they think, that its nice - and who are ashamed, when somebody ask them, if this is from abercrombie or whatever. This doesn't mean that it is worse to talk to them - even these cool ones can be nice, but I know from personal experience, that in a group, they work as a member in this group and they have a allocated role, which they're mostly not allowed to change.
From my view, this is completely shit. Every human has tons of faces. And it's absolutely a pity, to show only one of them. If you're seen as the girly one, you also can play football. If you're seen as the good one, you also can skip a lesson, if you're just bored af from this horrible school system with no place for creativity. This is what I mean. You can be anybody and anyone you want, anytime.
Lately I red a book, it's called "Every Day", which is about a boy, that daily changes body. He was everyday someone else.
And you have the same chance and opportunity, too. Without changing body, without having no real family or friends.
You have all those faces. I'm not gonna lie, you also have bad faces. I don't think, that you should make your skipalesson-face to your daily face. But you can try it and then decide "this is not me. I tried it and I'm okay with it now, I don't have to do it again." Compare this to a beautiful bowl. When you see it from one side, it's the most beautiful bowl in world, very artfully, with lots of patterns and an amazing color combination, and everytime you look at it, you discover something new beautiful, that never has attracted your attention so far. But when you look from the other side, it's ugly. So when you place the bowl in your living room, you turn the ugly side to the wall. It's still there, but nobody has to see it. This is maybe not the best example, but I hope you see, what I wanted to tell y'guys.
It's hard to be the uncool one. I can't even imagine, how hard, because I was so lucky to find in most cases immediately a very nice girl or boy. But please promise me one thing guys - never, never, NEVER show a fake-you to other people to be popular. That's not worth it, trust me.
Maybe you'll be happy for once, you'll have tons of friends, but they won't like you for who you really are. That's the problem. Don't make the mistake and think, one day you can show your real you and they will treat you as they do now. They won't.
I know a quote by Whitney Houston, which very fascinate me.
"You can fool people. You can fool anybody anytime of the day, but you can't fool yourself. At night, when you go home, you've got to be straight up with you."
And that's it. I couldn't have said it better.
You'll not turn one day suprisingly in the fake-you, you created. Under the shell, you'll always be you.
When you look into the mirror, there will be the real you, that likes football, whereas you told your "friends" you hate football. Know what I mean?
And this is good. I promise you guys, there are people, that like you, just how you are.
Maybe they're straight in front of your nose and you never noticed them, because you were to busy with constructing a fake-you thereby other people like you, to notice, that there is someone, who likes your real one.
Stay strong.
